A Walk at the Quidditch Feild

Jaci had some time on her hands to walk around the Quidditch feild. She was hoing to watch a game in play, but no one was around playing. Jaci stepped onto the bleachers and looked around onto the feild and across it.

"Well, fancccy meeting you here Jaci" hissed a very familiar voice.

Jaci looked around. Hmm.... oh I know that voice.

"Fancy meeting you too, Tom."

"What are you doing out here Jacccci?" hissed Tom.

"I'm on break now. Thought I could watch a Quidditch game, but it turns out no one was playing. So I guess I'm on a walk now."

Jaci looks down onto the feild and sits on the bleacher.

"Yessss. I wanted to watch a Quidditch game asssss well. I am alwaysssss too bussssy doing my work to bother with watching the game" hissed Tom.

"Too bad one isn't playing then. Been caught up in so much work."

"SSSSame with me. I jussssst wissssh that I didn't have sssso much work. I barely have time to talk to my father" hissed Tom.

Jaci looks down at her hands, where they were clenched together. She sighs a little at her thought.

"Same here. I can't find enough time to try to speak to my parents now."

"Ah, I am not worried though. I can visssssit my father anytime. After all, he doesssss live in Hogwartssss until sssschool endsssss" hissed Tom.

Jaci looks up at Tom and grinned.


"Well that's good. So your father works here then?"

"Yessss. He issss the white haired man that came into the Great Hall the day we were all introducccced" hissed Tom.

Jaci tries to think back to the Great Hall when they had the feast. When she remember the day she nodded with realization.

"Oh so he's your father. Yeah I remember now."

"He isss where I get my ssssnake like featuresssss from" hissed Tom.

Jaci nods her head and smiles.

"Wow. That's interesting."

"Yesss. I guessss it issss" hissed Tom.

Jaci looks back out at the feild. She was silent now, trying to think of something else to say. She tried to think back at the feast where all the students had to evacuate the room.

"So that giant snake is your pet?"

"If you mean Bassssil, then no. SSSShe issss my familiar" hissed Tom.

"Oh really?"

Jaci looked back out to the feild remembering the snake itself.

Suddenly, hissing was heard from behind them. "Massssster, I found you" hissed the Albino Basilisk Basil as she slithered up to her master.

Jaci looked back behind her where the Albino Basilisk slithered in by Tom. Her eyes widened at the size of the snake. Wow. It's bigger up close and in person.

"Ah, Bassssil. I missssed you" Tom hissed in Parseltongue as he kissed the top of the snakes head.

Jaci knew she heard Tom say something to the snake in an urecognizable language to her.

"You can understand her language?"

"Yesss. It isss called Parsssseltongue. It givessss the persssson the ability to ssssspeak to sssssnakessss. Only thossssse that are of the SSSSlytherin blood could ever hope to gain thissss ability" hissed Tom as he took out a ball & threw it in a random direction, with Basil following after it.

Jaci smiled with at his response. Then she chuckled to herself as the snake went after the ball.

"Wow that's amazing. And it looks like you have a real bond between you and.... *ponders for the snakes name* Basil is it?
